It’s an easy way to add a little friendly competition to a Halloween party, movie night, family gathering, or even a Halloween get-together with friends.

Just print it and play!

A Fun Halloween Game for Movie Lovers

Table of Contents

Some people love Halloween for the costumes and candy.

Others are here for the scary movies.

This game is for those people.

The Halloween Scary Movie Trivia Game gives your guests a chance to test their knowledge of scary movies and see who really knows their Halloween classics.

You can play individually or divide everyone into teams.

How to Play Halloween Scary Movie Trivia

Playing is simple.

1. Print the game.

Print enough copies for each guest or team.

2. Give everyone a pencil.

Have players write down their answers as you read the questions.

3. Set a time limit.

Give everyone a few minutes to work through the questions.

4. Check the answers.

Go through the answers together and see who got the most correct.

5. Declare your winner.

You can give the winner a small Halloween treat, a candy bar, or simply bragging rights!

Make It Part of a Halloween Movie Night

This would be especially fun before settling in for a Halloween movie marathon.

Set out a bowl of popcorn, some Halloween candy, and your favorite fall drinks. Then hand out the trivia game before the movie starts.

You could even make the trivia game the opening activity and then watch a scary movie afterward.

It’s a simple way to turn an ordinary movie night into a Halloween event.

Great for Halloween Parties

This printable can work for all kinds of Halloween gatherings:

Halloween parties
Family Halloween nights
Halloween movie nights
Teen gatherings
Adult Halloween parties
Neighborhood get-togethers
Classroom parties
Office Halloween parties
Fall parties
Sleepovers

You don’t need a lot of supplies or complicated instructions. That’s one of the reasons I love printable games for parties—they give people something to do without creating another huge project for the host.

Add Some Halloween Competition

Want to make it a little more competitive?

Divide everyone into teams and give each team a spooky name.

You could have:

Team Dracula
Team Frankenstein
Team Werewolf
Team Witch

Keep track of the scores and give the winning team a little Halloween prize.

A bowl of candy makes an easy prize, or you could give the winner first choice of dessert or the best seat for movie night.
